          President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, will attend the official opening ceremony of the 59th edition of the International Mathematics Olympics in Cluj-Napoca on Sunday. His program also includes a visit to the "Prof. Dr. Ion Chiricuţă ".

          "President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, will be on Sunday, July 8, in Cluj-Napoca, where he will attend the official opening ceremony of the 59th edition of the International Mathematics Olympiad. The event, which takes place between 3-14 July, is the oldest and most prestigious competition in the field of science for high school students, the first edition taking place in Romania in 1959. By organizing in our country the International Olympiad Mathematics, it was the symbolic marking of the Centenary of the Great Union, this year in Cluj-Napoca being attended by about 1,500 participants from over 100 countries, from five continents ", reads a press release.
